About the treatment

A sports massage tailored to your activity, focused on relaxing tense muscles after exercise and improving comfort during movement. This massage precisely addresses the muscles and soft tissues that are particularly stressed during training.

We tailor the techniques, pace, and pressure to the type of sport, intensity of exercise, and current needs of your body. The massage may involve deeper work on specific areas, but its intensity is always adjusted to your tolerance.

A 30-minute session allows you to focus on a specific area, such as the legs, back, or shoulders. A 60-minute session allows for multiple areas to be addressed, while a 90-minute session allows for a more comprehensive body massage with extra attention to the most sensitive areas.

Your visit, step by step

Is this treatment for you?

If you run, cycle, swim, strength train, or engage in other activities, this massage can complement your recovery plan. It's suitable for both regular and recreational exercisers.

It's perfect for those who experience stiffness, muscle soreness, or tension that hinders movement after exercise. It's also a great option for those whose bodies are stressed by physical work and repetitive movements—you don't have to be a professional athlete to benefit.

Before your appointment, please review the contraindications listed below. If you have a recent injury, please inform us before your procedure to determine the appropriate course of action.

What happens during your visit?

We begin with a brief conversation about your activity level, recent training, and any areas where you feel stressed. We review any contraindications and determine the scope of the massage, taking into account the timing of your next workout.

We then move on to work on selected body parts. We combine warming and loosening techniques with more precise work on tense muscles and surrounding tissues.

We adjust the pressure continuously to your sensations. The massage can be intense, but it doesn't require enduring severe pain—We strive for effective work while respecting your body's reactions.

What results can you expect?

Primarily, it relaxes muscles, reduces stiffness, and increases comfort during movement. Massage can alleviate muscle soreness that appears after intense exercise and promote flexibility and a sense of ease in the body.

It's also a time to relax after your workout—you may feel less tension and a pleasant feeling of lightness in the areas you've worked on. Temporary muscle tenderness can sometimes occur after deeper work, so we tailor the intensity of your session to your activity plan.

During regular training sessions, we adjust the frequency of massage according to the load and your response to the treatment, so that it is a well-thought-out part of body care.

Your comfort sets the pace. We discuss, establish a scope, and tailor the intensity to your needs.

FAQ

Good to know

Who is sports massage suitable for — do you need to exercise regularly?

You don't have to be a professional athlete to care for overworked muscles. We offer sports massage to active people of all levels—from recreational walks and fitness classes to regular strength training, running, or cycling.

It's a good choice if you experience post-exercise tension, stiffness, or fatigue in specific muscle groups. It can also address the needs of those performing physically demanding work.

What activities are best suited for sports massage?

Do you run, cycle, strength train, or play on a team? We can tailor your sports massage to the demands of your activity.

Cycling - working the legs, buttocks, back and neck, which are stressed during a long ride.

Running – attention focused on the calves, thighs, buttocks and foot area.

Strength and Fitness Training – Developing the muscle groups involved in your training plan.

Handball - Works the shoulders, arms, back and legs.

Soccer – Focus on the thighs, calves, glutes and adductor muscles.

Swimming – releases tension in the shoulders, chest and back.

Tennis, badminton and padel - taking into account the overload of the forearms, shoulders and unilateral work of the trunk.

Golf — work on areas that are loaded during trunk rotation, especially the back, hips and shoulders.

Rowing and kayaking – attention to the back, shoulder girdle and arms.

Gymnastics, dance, yoga and Pilates — work with the tensions that result from repetitive movements and maintaining specific positions.

You don't have to be a competitive athlete. We tailor your massage to your movements, where you feel stressed, and what your body needs.

What is the difference between sports massage and deep tissue massage?

We tailor your sports massage to your exercise and training plan. We consider the type of activity, the muscles being strained, and whether you need preparation for movement or a more relaxed workout after training.

Deep Tissue primarily determines the method of work: slow, precise and focused on selected muscle tensions and the surrounding tissues.

Techniques can overlap—sports massage can incorporate elements of Deep Tissue. The choice is determined by the purpose of the session, not just the pressure.

When is the best time to schedule a massage – before or after training?

It depends on the intensity of the massage and the planned activity.

Before training or competition, we choose shorter, gentler work. It's best to avoid an intense first session right before a major effort—you don't yet know how your body will react.

After training or on a rest day, we can pay more attention to overworked areas. If muscles are very sore, we reduce the intensity. Recent injuries, acute pain, or swelling require prior evaluation.

When booking, let us know when your next training or start is – this will help us choose the right date and scope of work.

Can we focus on the muscles that are most stressed during our activity?

Yes - your activity determines the direction of the massage.

For runners, we can pay more attention to the calves, thighs, and glutes. Strength training focuses on areas that are stressed by the exercises performed, and for cyclists, we can also include the back and shoulders.

Tell us how you train, where you feel tension, and what most hinders your movement. Based on this, we'll establish priorities, also considering surrounding areas that interact with overworked muscles.

What extras can I choose – is it worth extending the sports massage with 30 minutes of cupping?

You can choose 30 minutes of cupping, or cupping therapy, as a supplement to your sports massage. This additional time allows for more focused treatment on specific areas, combining hand pressure with the vacuum applied by cupping.

This option is for those who enjoy this type of experience and have no contraindications. Cupping may leave temporary marks or bruises, so it's worth considering when planning training and competitions.

If you prefer a more relaxing ending, choose an additional 15-minute massage, a scalp massage, or a foot ritual that includes a scrub and acupressure massage.

Please book your extras in advance using the booking system so that we can ensure the appropriate length of your visit.

How to prepare for your visit and when to return to training after a massage?

Please arrive in comfortable clothing, maintain good personal hygiene, and shower after training. Avoid alcohol and heavy meals before your session.

Tell us about any injuries, illnesses, medications you're taking, and your current training plan. Also, let us know if you have any upcoming competitions or particularly demanding activities.

After a gentle session, returning to activity can be quick. After more intense activity, plan to rest or move around lightly. If tenderness persists, postpone vigorous exercise until it subsides. There's no one-size-fits-all interval—your body's response and the extent of the massage are key.
