Swedish massage vs deep tissue: choosing your massage
Compare relaxation, sports and deep tissue massage. Understand the differences, including Swedish massage, and choose the visit and duration that suit you.

Start with the aim of your visit
For rest and a gentle pace, consider relaxation massage. If persistent tension or stiffness is your main concern, read about deep tissue. Sports massage is adapted to activity and current training load. These are starting points for a conversation; we agree on the scope with you.
Relaxation massage: time to rest
Our relaxation massage uses flowing movements and individually adapted pressure for a calm visit. A shorter session can focus on selected areas; a longer one gives more time for the whole body. Choose it when slowing down and resting matter most to you.
Deep tissue: focused work on tension
Deep tissue massage works gradually with muscles and fascia at an unhurried pace. We focus on persistent tension, stiffness and areas loaded by everyday habits. The intensity is adapted to your response. Strong pressure is not an aim in itself.
Sports massage: adapted to activity
Before your appointment with Besnik, tell us about your training, recent exercise and the areas you want to focus on. Sports massage is also for people who exercise recreationally. If you suspect an injury, have it assessed first; massage does not replace diagnosis or rehabilitation.
Swedish massage vs deep tissue: are they the same?
Swedish massage, also called classical massage, is a massage tradition. Deep tissue describes work with deeper tissues. The names do not set identical pressure for every practitioner. Our relaxation massage has its own description: read what the appointment includes and tell us what you need.
30, 60 or 90 minutes?
Choose the type of massage first, then its duration. Thirty minutes allows a focus on one area, sixty gives room for several related areas, and ninety allows broader work. Current options and prices are on the service pages. If you are still unsure, contact us before booking.
