About the treatment

Discover how enjoyable and relaxing mindful ear work can be.

Auriculotherapy combines ear reflexology, gentle auricular massage, acupressure, and auricular acupuncture. During a personalized session, Ayako uses touch, precise pressure, fine needles, or adhesive beads, adapting the techniques to your needs and sensitivity.

In reflexology, the ear is treated as a kind of body map—individual zones are assigned relationships to specific areas and organs. In traditional Eastern medicine, working with reflex points is also described through the concepts of meridians and the flow of qi. These are traditional models explaining this method.

The auricle has a rich innervation, including branches of the trigeminal nerve, the cervical nerves, and, in certain areas, the vagus nerve.

Today's auriculotherapy draws on ancient ear practices and concepts developed in the 1950s by French physician Paul Nogier. At our clinic, it creates a personalized experience combining precise stimulation with soothing massage and quiet time for you.

Your visit, step by step

Who is this treatment for?

Choose auriculotherapy if you're looking for a peaceful session and additional space to unwind, especially if:

  • daily stress makes it difficult for you to calm down;
  • you experience inner anxiety and an overload of responsibilities;
  • you find it difficult to detach your thoughts from everyday life;
  • you need time to slow down in the evening;
  • you want to supplement your relaxation routine with ear acupuncture.
  • you want to support nicotine and alcohol addiction therapy; you enjoy precise touch and ear massage; you're looking for a calm, personalized treatment; you want to learn about ear acupressure without the need for needles.

This therapy is designed for people seeking support for stress, tension, and sleep difficulties.

This treatment fits well into a relaxation ritual, alternating with a vagus nerve massage or a Sound Healing Session. You can choose between soothing touch, a sound bath, and ear work, depending on your current needs.

What happens during your visit?

We begin by discussing your well-being, expectations, and health. Tell Ayako about any allergies, especially to metals and adhesives, any medications you're taking, and any potential pregnancy.

Ayako then assesses the skin on your ears and selects the points and method of stimulation. Depending on the chosen range, she uses thin, sterile disposable needles or acupressure beads. During the procedure, you may feel local pressure, a brief sting, or tenderness—we continuously adjust the intensity to suit your sensitivity.

Ayako uses products specially imported from Japan, including small beads attached to the surface of the ear. Selected applications resemble delicate, beautiful jewelry—a subtle, decorative accent you can wear for several days after your session.

The beads can be left on the ears for several days, according to the product instructions and Ayako's recommendations. The beads do not pierce the skin. You will learn how to gently press them, care for them, and when to remove them. If irritation, itching, or soreness occurs, remove the application.

What results can you expect?

Above all, a session provides space to pause, rest, and focus on your own feelings. You may experience relaxation, greater peace, and a pleasant break from the hustle and bustle of everyday life.

You may experience a sense of calm, relaxation, or a pleasant drowsiness. Reactions vary from person to person, so we consider your experiences and preferences during subsequent sessions. The relaxed pace and mindful ear work allow you to focus on the sensations flowing from your body. This is a time when you can set aside responsibilities, close your eyes, and allow yourself to rest. For some people, the most noticeable moment is a moment of peace, for others, a pleasant feeling of being cared for.

The small beads left on the ears allow for further, gentle stimulation of selected points, as instructed by Ayako. You can incorporate this little ritual into your daily routine—combining the prescribed pressure with a short break, calm breathing, and checking in on how you feel today.

Decorative applications resemble subtle jewelry, while more discreet options remain virtually invisible. This allows you to choose a solution that suits both your needs and preferences.

Ear acupuncture is also being studied as a method for pain relief. Results indicate possible benefits, but further, higher-quality research is needed—so we don't promise a specific therapeutic effect. Experiences after treatment vary. During subsequent sessions, you can share with Ayako what you found pleasurable and how you responded to the applications—this will help tailor future sessions to your sensitivity.

A soothing session, a subtle decoration and a bit of care you take home with you.

FAQ

Good to know

Can I have the treatment if I don't like needles?

Yes—tell Ayako your preferences. We can choose acupressure and adhesive balls that apply pressure to selected points without piercing the skin.

You don't have to opt for needles to benefit from this type of session. Ayako primarily uses adhesive beads without needles. We determine the method of work together, taking into account your sensitivity.

Is the procedure painful?

Working with some points may cause slight tenderness. The sensations depend on your sensitivity.

You don't have to endure pain. If the pressure is too strong or something is bothering you, let the therapist know right away. The therapist will adjust the intensity, skip the point, or suggest a different method.

How long can I wear the beads on my ears and how do I care for them?

The beads can be left on your ears for several days, according to the product instructions and Ayako's recommendations. During your appointment, you'll learn how to gently press them, care for them, and when to remove them.

Do not rub or apply pressure to the area to the point of pain. If itching, redness, swelling, or increasing pain occur, remove the beads.

You can choose discreet applications or decorative variants resembling subtle jewelry.
