Team

Originally from Japan, I've been practicing holistic body and facial work for over fifteen years. I developed my career in Tokyo, where I ran my own practice and gradually developed an approach that combines the precision of Japanese techniques with a mindful, personalized touch. I firmly believe that beauty and well-being begin with harmony—with how we feel in our bodies.

Ear reflexology holds a special place in my practice. I completed specialized training in Japan and have developed this method over the years in my work with clients. I'm fascinated by its subtlety and precision: the small area of the ear provides space for very mindful work. For me, it's also an opportunity to help the person pause, relax, and pay attention to their own sensations.

I also work with body massage, combining relaxation techniques with elements of acupressure. I enjoy a relaxed pace and a thorough approach that allows me to focus on the areas that need relief. I observe the breathing, tissue reactions, and comfort of the person I'm working with. What the client tells me is just as important to me as what I feel under my hands.

I approach each session individually. We don't always need intense work—sometimes a gentle touch and the opportunity to unwind without rushing are most beneficial. I want the treatment to be not only a body or facial treatment, but also an experience that leaves you feeling more at ease and with more space for yourself.

Today, I continue my practice in Denmark, drawing on the experience I gained in Japan and the knowledge I gained from training throughout my career. I continue to develop my skills in ear reflexology and seek ways to better tailor my work to the needs of each individual.

At Manual Therapies, I'm passionate about the idea of complementary treatments. I'm particularly interested in the connection between ear work and the vagus nerve, whose sensory branch innervates part of the auricle. This is a common focus for my practice and the calming massages offered at our clinic. By combining our approaches, we can create sessions tailored to your needs, in which ear work and body massage complement each other, providing space for rest and deep relaxation.

I want your meeting with me to be a moment where you don't have to prove anything or rush. You can simply relax, feel my attentive touch, and allow yourself time just for yourself.

Head Calm

A brief respite from a busy, hectic day, when stress and tension take their toll. A gentle massage of the head, neck, and shoulders allows you to pause, breathe, and address areas that often remain tense throughout the day.

Body massage

Relaxing body massage

A relaxing body massage is a gentle form of massage focused on calming, tranquility, and relaxation. Smooth, gentle movements and individually tailored pressure allow you to escape the daily hustle and bustle and immerse yourself in a pleasant sense of relaxation.

Depending on the selected time—30, 60, or 90 minutes—we focus on specific areas or offer a full-body massage. A shorter session allows for a moment of respite and attention to the areas that need it most. A longer session allows for more complete rest and a more relaxed work with the entire body.

You don't have to do anything or think about anything. This is a time when you can get comfortable, close your eyes, and allow yourself to rest.

Body massage

Pregnancy massage — ritual

A relaxing ritual designed with the expectant mother in mind—her comfort, well-being, and need for rest. It combines gentle dry body brushing, a professional pregnancy massage, and facial care with a moisturizing mask.

We begin with a gentle brushing that gently exfoliates and leaves the skin beautifully smooth. Then, a gentle, pregnancy-specific massage allows you to relax and rest in a comfortable position. The whole experience is completed by a facial treatment that restores freshness, softness, and hydration to the skin.

This is a time when the focus is on you. You can slow down, breathe, and let someone care for your body with gentleness and care.

Vagus nerve — relaxation and calm

Ear acupuncture (auriculotherapy)

Discover how enjoyable and relaxing mindful ear work can be.

Auriculotherapy combines ear reflexology, gentle auricular massage, acupressure, and auricular acupuncture. During a personalized session, Ayako uses touch, precise pressure, fine needles, or adhesive beads, adapting the techniques to your needs and sensitivity.

In reflexology, the ear is treated as a kind of body map—individual zones are assigned relationships to specific areas and organs. In traditional Eastern medicine, working with reflex points is also described through the concepts of meridians and the flow of qi. These are traditional models explaining this method.

The auricle has a rich innervation, including branches of the trigeminal nerve, the cervical nerves, and, in certain areas, the vagus nerve.

Today's auriculotherapy draws on ancient ear practices and concepts developed in the 1950s by French physician Paul Nogier. At our clinic, it creates a personalized experience combining precise stimulation with soothing massage and quiet time for you.
